The Chinese economy has undergone substantial reforms in the
late 70's passing, an economy that prevailed in acentralized, planned and
closed to international exchanges, toa system more oriented market economy.
The changes began with the end of collective agriculture,
the expansion for a gradual release of prices, fiscal
decentralization, increased autonomy for state enterprises, the foundation
of several banks, development of the stock market, with the rapid growth of private
and openness to foreign tradeand foreign investments.
